Protection of Hair, Skin & Nails!

"DID You Know"
L-Cysteine is the anti-aging amino acids that keeps your skin tight, nails growing, hairs natural color!

L-Cysteine

What is L-Cysteine?

L-Cysteine is an amino acid that is closely related to Cystine. Cystine is a crystalline, sulfur containing amino acid, formed from two molecules of L-Cysteine. L-Cysteine is also a sulfur containing amino acid.

L-Cysteine is important to detoxification and aids in the formation of skin. It is also important the role of hair and nail tissue repair. L-Cysteine is used in the manufacturing of antioxidants. It also aids in the protection of the liver and brain from damage due to drugs, alcohol and the toxic compounds found in cigarette smoke. L-Cysteine also helps to detoxify harmful toxins and protect the body from radiation damage.

From NAC to L-Cysteine!

NAC (N-acetyl-L-cysteine) is an antioxidant that helps increase glutathione synthesis, and potentially has benefit during oxidative stress.* NAC is the acetyl derivative of L-cysteine. While L-cysteine plays important metabolic roles as a key antioxidant, a glutathione precursor, and a natural source of sulfur for metabolism, it is unstable and can become degraded during absorption. NAC on the other hand, is more stable than L-cysteine. Taken orally, NAC converts into L-cysteine after being absorbed, and raises blood and tissue cysteine levels. As a dietary supplement, NAC is a highly attractive alternative to L-cysteine.

Additional benefits of L-Cysteine include:

  • Anti-aging effects on the body, reducing the accumulation of age spots.
  • Promotes healing after surgery and severe burns.
  • Promotes the burning of fat and the building of muscle.
  • Ability to breakdown mucus found in the respiratory tract causing it to be beneficial to the treatment of tuberculosis, bronchitis and emphysema.
  • Promotes the activity of white blood cells

Who needs it and what are some symptoms of deficiency?

Being that L-Cysteine is an essential non-essential amino acids everybody can benefit from its uses.

Physical training provide an increase of oxidative stress on the body, this in turn may lead to immune suppression. L-Cysteine can help speed recovery, and support optimal health with its antioxidant effects. Its role as a taurine precursor can also assist in lean muscle tissue gains and fat metabolism.

Anyone with a compromised immune system (the young, the elderly and people exposed to pollutants) will benefit from L-Cysteine supplementation due to its protective and anti-oxidative effects. L-Cysteine can enhance immune system function and maintain optimal health.

How much should be taken? Are there side effects?

When taking L-Cysteine alway follow the label instruction on dosage and frequency.
